? Sinatra, need advice after curve

Sinatra has been on 1.5 for 7 days now. His numbers are still terrible and even went up wildly for a bit there. Can ya'll PLEASE help me decide how to up his Lantus? On 5/20 we did the best curve we can. We got BG's during the day and one +6 PMPS.

I really feel it's time to go to 2.0 2x day beginning in the morning. But if ya'll say just 1.75 we will try. (I do NOT feel comfortable despite all the tips/tricks we have read that we can hit that mark). Everything in my gut says 2.o though. HELP. Thanks.

I hate to say this, but I'm wondering if Sinatra is one of those cats that can't eat Dr. Elsey's. We've had several cats that despite the low carbs, it spiked their glucose higher.

Seems like except for that one 298 when you first started, his numbers have gotten worse.

I understand the struggle of getting him off of kibble....are you still trying?

With his numbers as high as they are, I think you could go to 2U (which is what we'd do if he was on Tight Regulation) but others may disagree. Going "strictly" by SLGS, you'd only go up to 1.75.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth

I agree with Chris. I'd increase to 2.0u.
