Simon had his dental today, and is doing well for having most of his teeth extracted. He is very groggy from the anesthesia and pain meds, and hadn't eaten yet (as of about 2 hours ago). He was 326 when he got home, but alipuffs won't be shooting him unless he eats. The vet recommended this, and it sounded right to alipuffs and me. This has been a very stressful day for alipuffs and Simon, and they are handling it well.
 
Simon's Mom here. He is resting and did finally eat a few tablespoons of his food. He is very tired and has some pain meds. I am going to test him in about an hour and will probably be able to give him his insulin since he did eat a little. His little mouth is bleeding a bit which the vet warned me about. He wants to lay beside me and be loved so I have to go. I will let everyone know how he is doing and again I thank everyone who helped us get this procedure done. He will not have to suffer again from those bad teeth. Simon asked me to say hi to Katrina and to let her know he will soon be ready to fly.
 
I'm so glad the dental is done and Simon is back home. Hope he heals quickly and he should feel so much better getting all those bad teeth out. Please keep us updated on Simon.
 
Hi Simon this Katrina.The current expedition will be to Catalina and the Canary Islands.There was some other cat that offered to be a pilot but we need a plane first.We'll fly out of Miami International or Fort Lauderdale and then come to pick up you up.Where's the closest airport to you? I am glad you are feeling better and you should be ready to fly in a couple weeks. I will fix you up with one of the younger girl kitties in my house and you will forget all about your teeth (wink wink). Nomad the wimpy sugar kitty in our house also had some teeth pulled out last week.It kept him quiet for a few days but he is bugging me again.My person servant is becomming so I need to get off the PC. Last night, Simon ate some of his food while I was sleeping. His sugar was 185 this morning and he ate his breakfast. i added some warm water so he could lick it up easier. He was having problems chewing it. He are about 1/2 can. He is reating now on his pain meds ans feels better. the worst is over. he says he is looking forward to his vacation with his new friends.
 
So glad Simon's dental went well! Plus, it will hopefully help his numbers quite a bit! Making his food soupy is good, as it will help him also get the water he needs. Hope he's back to his old self soon!

Hey, Simon! Now you iz toofless like meeez! Aw man, de vacay iz gong to be de BEST! Iz snuck on de plane last week to sneak down to de partee in de Texas. Waz not no big deal. Wait... de grammar iz not rite on dat.... oh well, can't wait to see u dere! weez can eat de foie gras dere... it iz mushy and iz sooo good! See u on de plane!
 
Hey Simon did you invite this Willie guy to come on the trip? If he does he can do the food. I want caviar and liver pate. How about some catnip martinis? Shaken not stirred with a dash of clam juice...mmmrrrr. »^^«. Katrina
 
Hey Katrina, I am so glad all this dental stuff is over. I am glad to be home and sleeping in my warm bed away from those strangers at the hospital. too many dogs there. Willie can come. I like liver and clams. Drink sounds awesome. Looking forward to some warm weather. Too much snow here. I guess the fried lizzards are probably out now. too bad. Sounded yummy. Thank you, katrina, for helping me get my teeth fixed. I feel better already. the stitches feel funny butwhen they fall out, i will be able to eat without it hurting. You are my best friend. Simon

Glad to hear you got your toofies all fixed, does make you feel better doesn't it?

Now that you got that dental out of the way the next step is working on getting off those shots. I just wanted you to know that you are on a really good insulin and now that all that infection is gone you should start feeling much better and mom says you had really good numbers this morning so now just slurp up all that yummy low carb food and we will hope you get to go OTJ like me.

I will be saving you a spot on the beach with me at the Falls when you get close. I'll even have some nice tunaritas waiting for you, since it sounds like your BGs are coming down nicely. It always make our mommas so happy when we start giving them those nice low numbers. At least I know it did my mom.

Just keep healing up buddy, Man I can relate to the snow, we got bunches of it here too. For now I'll just keep pulling for you to get all better, then we can talk about chasing those pretty girl kitties all over the place.
