Simon needs a U/S - chylothorax

Hello everyone. It's been quite awhile since I last posted.

Simon needed to have his chest tapped on Monday, and 100ml of milky fluid was drawn out. We had the fluid analyzed and it is chylothorax. The next step is an ultrasound of chest and abdomen.

I am curious what others have been charged for ultrasounds? It seems awfully steep. Please share with me any comparables you may have.

Waldo had a U/S of his heart that cost just over $400.00.

No advice on the u/s- but I lost my Morley to chylothorax 5 years ago.... I will be hoping for the best for Simon.

We get rescue discounts often,

But we have been charged $95 for the office visit. The total bill is usually below $200. Somewhere between $100-$200

Oh boy - this will be a struggle. They want $500-$1000 here, depending if we need.
