It is possibly the antibiotic? I sure hope so. He is almost done with this but still.... :cry:

So, we shall see. I will be checking him at +3 tonight and again at +5 or +6 if I can stay awake.

I am nervous because he ate well and food works for him, thus the smaller amount of .5 (skinny .5 actually) and we will see what happens. Insulin often has the OPPOSITE effect on Simon. He begins getting higher numbers when I start him back on. Will let you know what happens. :roll:

Antibiotics can definitely raise bg levels, but think we might have seen that earlier, unless he has a new infection. You might get his mouth checked out by the vet..

I know you're disappointed, but you can get him back.

I don't think it is another infection but I guess it could be. He seems so well though and he is playing and all the other P's. He has been throwing a bit higher numbers at me lately if you look at this spreadsheet.

He has not seen 200 since Oct 25th though and I am so bummed! :YMSIGH: I will see what happens. Going to check his BG again at +3 (9:15PM EST) and see what the .5 did. He ate all of his dinner (2/3 can of FF ) and also some poached chicken breast that I made especially for him cause he is spoiled rotten and I made this every other day fresh since he had his surgery cause I am such a pushover and now he expects it..lol.

I give him about 2 oz a day cause I did not think he could chew the freeze dried chicken he has been getting for his "ear treat" every day. Guess what? He chews that just fine and now gets both! :lol:

Was back down to 92 an hour later after food. Figured it was a bad strip first test. @-)

Simon....don't get your bean bummed out!! Not nice. She spoils you with yummy poached chicken breast. Be a good boy for momma bean with blue & green.
