Should I shoot?

First, Stall, DON'T feed and test again in 20-30 minutes

Can you test tonight as often and as long as necessary? Do you have plenty of supplies like HC food and lots of strips?

Okay Perfect! It’s been almost that! So I ll do it right now! He did have a tiny piece of pure snacks after his last one though! Hope I didn’t screw it up

That's fine...it's pure protein so won't have much (if any) effect on his numbers.

It looks like Lionel is on his way up though...His nadir on this cycle was at +8 and since then he's been heading up.

If he were my cat (and you didn't get a crazy number when you re-test) AND can test as often as may be necessary tonight and have plenty of supplies, I'd shoot the 1U dose again.

Get a +1 and +2 so if you need to you can intervene early.
 
He was 9.5! So I ll give him a small 1 unit and test again in 2 hours before bed and I ll leave some food out at bed just incase! I do have high carb and syrup on hands but it’s scary with low numbers!
 
You MAY have to test more than just once before bed tonight. And I'd get both a +1 and +2

It's a lot better to catch it early (if he's going to drop) than to try to "catch up" later
