Could I get some advise? My spreadsheet is attached also. I think that I am getting close to what my Lucky cat's dose should be but today he has thrown me for a loop. This AM (AMPS) he was at 97 and I skipped all insulin, I didn't have a chance to test mid day, but tonight he is at 142. I am feeling like I should give him a little - I am leaning toward .25 dose. He is on Prozinc and from his testing I feel like he would be ok with .25 and I really don't want him to go throughout the night without any insulin because then it would be 24 hours without any and I am pretty confident tomorrow AM he would be pretty high.

Advice here? I guess I could always test him again in a couple of hours but I am really trying to get down to 2x day testing because although he likes the chicken he must be feeling better because he is getting a little irritated with my pricking his ear. :)

Thanks!

He's at +10, right? Do you need to shoot early? It would probably be okay - as long as you will be around to monitor, but I would wait until he is closer to the 170 - 200 range. He lasted a long time on no insulin so it looks like his pancreas is working. He did not climb much in the past 10 hours....Small frequent meals will help support the pancreas too.

Yes, he is at + 10 and very excited to see his #'s today! But, I am exhausted and was hoping to dose him a bit early early but he had other plans. I will hang out and retest him just to be sure.

thanks for the advice and glad I am starting to think like the professionals :)
