I am going out of town on Saturday for about 7 days. My husband will be home and he will give our fur baby her shots, test and all that good stuff, plus take care of the dogs, 2 other cats and horses, gotta love this guy.. Now he is not comfortable giving Skylar her insulin but he knows that he has to do it. He is absolutely fine with testing her. I want to know if I should raise her insulin dose to 4 units in the am and pm as her numbers are a tad bit high, if I were here I would definitely raise her dose, I don't want to stress my husband with Skylar possibly going to low. So I need your advice please. I believe I know how you will answer I just need some reassurance.. Thanks :)

I agree with Larry. She's not too high anyway. Won't hurt her to stay as is for a while.

I recommend leaving out a sample syringe filled with colored water or juice that he can compare his dose to. If you can, give him access to the board, so he can post if he has questions.
