@tessa's mom unfortunately the vet applied the libre sensor with tissue glue. I have ordered the skin tac wipes but it won;t be delivered before 20th of August. Also, eaze off is not available wheraes brava is. Is it safe to use brava on the sensor attached with tissue glue? Your informative note said that Brava has not been tested for toxicity. Is it based on toxicity upon ingestion through licking? Shorshe recently had very high liver values so I am being very careful with anything that could potentially be hepatotoxic.

Have written to Abbott India. Let's see if they replace the sensor.

The app and the reader should give the same numbers so no worries about it being different because of that. I think it's likely a bad Libre sensor, bad placement of the sensor (too close to ribs maybe?), or the needle of the sensor bent when it was installed. If you can get another one installed, I would do that. You could contact Abbott (company that makes the Libre) and tell them that it's way off and they should send you a replacement sensor. Just be careful to not tell them it's for your cat, if they ask tell them it's for your child. We all consider our cats our babies, right?

Yes that would be licking toxicity, I don't think it would be an issue with absorbing it through the skin since it has been used on human babies safely and they have thin and delicate skin. It hasn't been tested to determine whether it is safe for ingestion so I would err on the side of caution. Washing the area with soap and water after using the Brava would probably be fine. I used it on Tessa and cleaned the area afterwards and all was well.

Does this cleaning product look okay to bathe the area with after using brava? Or do you think it might interfere if i bathe her with it and try to place a sensor within the next few hours? It says shampoo plus conditioner and soap free.

That should be fine. You'll want to wipe the skin with isopropyl alcohol (and let it air dry) just prior to applying the sensor anyway so any remaining conditioner should be removed.
