Sorry to bug everyone again, if Niki didn’t eat much dinner, should he still get his 3 units? Or less? PMBG was 372. We will not be home to watch him after his shot.

Just an FYI for next time.....one of the nice things about Lantus is that kitty doesn't necessarily need to eat a particular amount first. As long as they are willing to eat, it's usually 2-3 hours before the shot starts to kick in anyway so kitty can eat for those 2-3 hours.

If you get that dry D/M out of his diet, it will help bring his numbers down. It's very high in carbs.

I hope you'll spend some time reading the "Sticky's" on the Lantus forum. It looks like you may be basing your dose on the Pre-shot numbers and that's not how Lantus works.
