Shoot or no shoot!!!!!

my cat is still in regulated and is at 218 this morning. I am gone for 13 hours today. Should I shoot just .5 dose or no shoot?
 
I think 0.5 would be okay. A few days ago when you gave 1 unit when he was 249 he didn't go too low. The token 0.5 might be just enough. You could do a skinny 0.5 if you are concerned.

Are you leaving right away or could you grab a quick test in an hour or two before you head out?
 
I think 0.5 will be fine. Shouldn't taken him too low, considering other things on your SS. That's a pretty safe dose.

You can leave a little LC food out (just add a little water if it's wet to keep it hydrated) for him to munch if he feels himself going a bit lower. My cats are grazers so I left out wet food all day for them. I don't think that will be too much of an issue though.

Thanks Rachel. I am at work now. Left out some FF for the day and did a close .5 dose as I could. I am going to have to get U100 doses to get more accurate. So happy to see his numbers starting to go down! YEAH!! All I have to say is thank goodness for wet food. When he was still on that DM dry food his numbers were all over the place!
