Does anyone know if the Sheba food flavors; beef, Turkey, chicken, chicken & Turkey are low carbs? And a good quality overall for sugar kitties? I can't find them on the lists but the lists don't have the newer foods.

I just went to their site and reviewed the ingredient list. I didn't see anything untoward in the Premium Pates but stay away from the Premium Cuts in Gravy (I'm sure you knew that already!) - they have tapioca starch in them.

It's always better of course to have the As Fed values but on first blush these look low carb to me. Not crazy about the added colour (why oh why do they do this?) but you find that in many foods. The plus being no carrageenan !

If I could get them up here I'd buy them.

Oh, and ETA - always check the label before you buy. Any manufacturer can change the ingredients or formula without notice. If you see any veggies or starches - peas, corn, wheat gluten, rice - I wouldn't buy it. Note that there are a few that have brewer's rice in them that are still technically low carb, but it depends on where they fall in the ingredient list.

Hope that helps!

Someone just posted a list on FB FD. I remember seeing Sheba on the list but don't remember carbs. I can't find the list now. Not worried about food color if that's the only problem. I think it said to stay away from all proplan foods which is what I normally give (at least 2 of the flavors).

I just brought one of each flavors, classic pate. So far 1 doesn't like the chicken and liver. I'm not to crazy about all the gel stuff it has. But I can live with it if it's better for them.
