She's still a little off schedule but am working on getting her back. I think she's feeling much better, so I've cut her dose a little to see how that does. She got more duration with a little more insulin, but not enough to get her to 12 hours, and with all her health problems I'm not sure trying to do that again is a good plan anyway, because we'd likely have to go back to t.i.d. if she has another flareup of infection or inflammation -- and she always does. She's still on antibiotics and will be for about another week. No test results yet. One of them will take two weeks, but the others hopefully will be in today or Monday at the latest. Did not take her in today to get the remaining tests done because I fed her and forgot about the fasting. Oops! We'll take her in next week. Since she's feeling better for now I don't think there's a rush. My summer work schedule is busy, so it may be tough to post regularly here until near the end of July but will post as I can. I am checking in to see how people are doing, though! Glad to see that Thumper is feeling good and that others are not throwing ketones! :-D

6/23 PMPS = 373, gave 0.9U
+7 = 197
6/24 AMPS = 210, gave 0.9U
+4 = 87
+8 = 220 (fed but forgot mid-day shot!) DANG -- and she had good numbers too
MDPS = 344, gave 0.9U (this was at +13 after AM insulin)
+3 = 186
+4 = 132 (gave food just in case she did get double shots)
PMPS = no insulin obviously given the above; will try to get her back on track tomorrow

Glad you will be checking in Wendy! Did you see I finally got her in for the fPL test? I'm not hopeful it will show anything though since she seems to be doing so much better and her #'s have been pretty good the last couple of days. I'm thinking you've had that test before? I thought I had read somewhere on the board it was around $60.00? My vet charged $110.00 and I will gladly pay it again if it gets us a diagnosis but I was just curious what others charged. Glad Shaikha is feeling better!

Yes, I did see that! I hope that Thumper is negative but if that isn't the case at least you'll know why she's been ill. Shaikha has had the spec fPL test several times (as did my GA Tabriz), but I don't think it was that expensive. We don't repeat it much because we know she's got pancreatitis. Some do it more frequently to monitor progress or to see if a treatment plan is working, but her glucose is a pretty good indicator of trouble since she developed diabetes.

Well, I probably screwed up the afternoon at least... I just realized when I tested her at +5 and she was really high that I didn't give her insulin at mid-day! I am positive I forgot because I had to assist feed her a little, then she ran away when I was trying to give the rest of her pills. Then I had someone come to the door and I spaced the shot out after that. DUH. I've had a migraine a good part of the day so I'll blame that. ohmygod_smile

I just fed her a snack and gave her the dose she should have gotten mid-day. Will test her in a little while just in case she's gotten a double dose but I don't think this is rebound I'm seeing, though she's done that before when she sees a green. I am certain I screwed up though and she didn't get that shot. I don't remember filling it or shooting it -- just thinking about it. Then again, if she keeps on zooming I'll know I screwed up double. Ick.

Yay a green!!!!! :RAHCAT

Yeah, except i really screwed up in the afternoon. So far she's doing okay. Hope her numbers tomorrow aren't too bad after missing a dose today.

Don't worry about it, we've all done something like that.

I forgot to shoot Harley one night, honestly just couldn't remember and judging by his +3 I hadn't shot.

Tomorrow is a brand new day and you will get her back on track. Poo happens.
