Hello.
I had to work today and left my raspberry croissant from Whole Foods in a paper bag and guess who pulled a Neko and found it.
Neko should be proud of her.
Shadow ate thru the bag and ate a good size couple of bites from it. I just finished eating the rest of it, since it had air exposure and
wasn't so soft and fresh anymore. cat(2)_steam
No testing tonite... i just don't want to know. @-)
Otherwise, Shadow is still enjoying the falls. She found one of her red glittery pom pom critters and batted it all over the house.
I have to pick those up or the droolers will tear them up.

DH's dad is still in VA hospital. He has improved. He has been eating on his own and sitting up but his BUN and creatine are really high
so they were going to do another hook up to the dialysis machine today.
Sounds like a cat thing, huh?

I had an appt yesterday for a CT scan on my sinuses. The dr managed to sit me so he could see it all and that he did.
I have the option of surgery. My passageways are extremely narrow so that's why I have had a sinus infection for 20 years.
So basically, I can have him go roto rooter it out. nailbite_smile :o ;-)
the surgery would take 45 minutes and then I'd have a week of pain for recovery ( he said)
I'll have to find out how much our part would be from Blue Cross.
That could be the more painful part.... but he agreed with me that I probably ought to do it sooner than later since private insurance
companies should be going out of business sooner than later. I'm trying to get things done while I still have insurance covering these types
of things. I just read somewhere the other day where mammograms will start being discouraged.

DD is also still doing okay. She said she actually feels worse if she forgets to take her prilosec so finally she sees that it is helping.
When she forgets, she doesn't sleep well, it wakes her up with pain in her chest.

Prayers for all who need them....

Neko thinks Shadow has class! Well done with the croissant. :-D  Did she eat the raspberry filling too? We can't leave any food on the counter where Neko can get it. It's good to hear that she is otherwise doing well and playful.

I have a friend who had the roto rooter nose thing done a number of years ago. Actually his wife also had it done a couple of years later. Anyway, he found he could sleep SO much better and colds weren't the ordeal they had been before. Paws crossed the numbers work out for you for getting it done.

That's so funny about Shadow getting your croissant! Cat people...of course we'd still finish it!
I'm glad that your FIL is better. I'm sending prayers that he continues to improve a bit everyday!

I'm not envious of your sinus thing. You are smart to get it done soon. Who knows what's around the corner. It will be great not to have a sinus infection all the time. I bet you'll feel like a whole new person without constant infection.

Hugs to you all! Enjoy the Falls... hey Shadow... you are diet controlled ... remember? Croissants not so good for you little one.

I guess Shadow took advantage of mamabean's error and enjoyed a croissant. Good thing you caught him when you did, otherwise you wouldn't have had any of it.

I'm glad your FIL is doing better. Is he a veteran of WWII? Hopefully they will get him feeling a lot better and he can go home.

It's good that the Prilosec is helping your DD. I hope she continues to improve.

You must feel terrible having a sinus issue for 20 years, I feel for you. It sounds like the surgery would really help. I had a friend who had to have the surgery and it helped him quite a bit. I hope all comes together for you. Working with insurance companies is never fun but unfortunately I thing your DR. is correct.

Take care and keep those croissants away from Shadow.

Yay for Shadow! (Sorry, but they never get any good treats, so ya kinda gotta root for them when they tear into you treats! LOL!) And like Mary said, that we'd eat the rest cause we're cat people.

Yeah, get the surgery sooner. The medical stuff is going to get bad. I feel bad for kids who want to be doctors. It's not the great career it used to be.

Grampa flew B52's but he isn't a WWII veteran.

My grandfather was a WWII veteran. He was stationed in Oahu. He was a pharmacist's mate and helped heal some of the Pearl Harbor
soldiers.

It actually would have been interesting to see if It affected her BG.

I'm glad to hear your DFIL is doing better but hope his kidneys can get stabilized so he doesn't have to have dialysis repeatedly. Also glad to hear DD is better ESP with her meds.

Good luck with the sinus surgery when you decide to have it.

Too funny about Shadow and your croissant! Muffin is famous for scavenging people food like that. Taco bell and pizza are her favorites, with spaghetti not far behind. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to have much effect on her BG's most of the time. Glad your FiL is improving, and your DD is feeling better.

shadow is at 96.... she could have eaten it any time between 10am and 3:30 pm....
it's 8:45pm now.

So she's better now then her usual 110 ish ...

Talk about sassy cats...silly Shadow!!! Glad the BG wasn't affected...Falls must be way too much fun! :-D

Still sending prayers for your FIL and DD and you, but glad to hear that there are some improvements in your FIL health and DD is feeling better with her medication. Now, you...need to start feeling better. Take care of yourself and give Shadow scritches from me and Shasta!

I would totally finish the croissant too. And most of my friends might think it was gross...oh well. We can have our cat lady secrets ;-)

Dont let Rosy know about the croissant! She loves bread, steamed corn, sweet potato; just anything high carb like her mumbean. My kitchen is a restricted zone. Now I can only eat those forbidden food, inside the kitchen. You can imagine me hiding inside the kitchen with my morning breakfast bread while Rosy scratching at the door!
Glad the your FIL is getting better. Hope he continue to improve. Modern medicine is very impressive, sometimes.
Sorry about your chronic sinus. Ive been having allergy all my life, got worse after having my cats but still I manage to keep it at bay. Stuffy nose but no infection. Have you tried daily nostril rinsing?
