This is the highest BG Shaak has had since coming out of Remission. I have been giving insulin drops, I am exhausted but really feel I should give her .25 u tonight. Just scared I will fall asleep on her and not be able to wake up, I have been having that problem lately. My Dr. has rearranged all my medications to see if I can manage being more awake in the day and asleep at night. Problem is, if Shaak were to hypo I would possibly be asleep. However I am inclined to go for it and drink coffee if need be. I had a three week window to work with to get her numbers back down to normal without insulin, and now only two weeks left before Braiden starts classes and I am running around like crazy

I went ahead and gave Shaak .25u tonight. I will be testing in about an hour and a half from now.

I also have started putting pumpkin back in her food as well. It helps the most with the diarrhea, right now she is pooping fine, so I think it is working, I also figure this way I will know where her numbers go with the pumpkin. last time I got her into remission I stopped giving the pumpkin, this time I would like to see if we can get her into remission with the pumpkin included.

I think it looks like you'll be ok with that dose. Even with the few drops dose there was a little room to go down a bit. Any idea what may have triggered his relapse? (is it called a relapse?)

I just call it out of remission, but relapse sounds more accurate. It was several things, She got a UTI and stopped eating, so at that point after several days of her refusing her food I changed her food, then she kept going up and up from there. I guess it is a combination of all of the above. She also got a hold of a mexican wedding cookie one day and by the time I caught her with it she had licked about half the powdered sugar off of it. The kids forget she can jump up on things now and they walk away with food left on the coffee table and Shaak considers that fair game. Pizza, cookie, etc. makes no difference to her. I am watching her like a hawk now though and I don't let anyone leave food out where she can get it.
