Sept. 4th Blaze and Paola

Tanyas is a CKD site but has info on lots of other things.
Zyrtec definitely acts as an appetite stimulant. 1/4 regular strength. Not what Mocha needs as she’s a foodie but anti-jinx trying it for her allergies. She was hard to keep away from Chai’s food. Also a foodie but eats slower.

I am worried...When I gave Blz his shot, he did move but I was pretty sure I got the insulin in...but his test is 13.8 at +3...Does this mean the insulin didn't go in?
what now...

Does this mean the insulin didn't go in?
No, I don't think so. At least some insulin went in. The number would be higher if it was a fur shot. Did you check his fur for wetness? Was there a slight band-aid smell? Lantus has a distinctive smell.
I think what you are seeing is the natural progressive of a cycle. Not every cycle plays out exactly the same. How much and when he ate is also a factor.

Do not give more insulin. Never re-give insulin because you never know how much went in.

Your homework: teach the BF to test and shoot over the weekend.

I did not feel any wetness on the fur, I checked and I also smelled but no weird smells...usually after the 3 hours he is in blue level and not yellow thats why I thought something is wrong.
I will test again in 1 hour. I hope itsjust different this time and the insulin went in.
Homework received ...outcome not sure, but will try.

I wonder too...the second shot probably...i have to find a better way...ok, won't test anymore. I feel bad I failed this shot.

Fur shots happen. So does sleeping through alarms. Put a loonie in a jar. Add another loonie every time you do a fur shot or think you do. They add up and you can treat yourself to a nice bottle of wine or a carton of Hagen Dazs or chocolate or pizza or ...
