Mr. Senna's numbers have dropped. He hasn't had a shot in three days! He started eating good again, but his numbers remain low. Low enough for me to try to boost them a bit with portions of FF gravy. Not sure what's going on, but no r-word from me yet. Although he seems to be having an allergic reaction to something. He's scratching his head and ears more than normal and it's starting to show.

What nice news, Cole! You don't have to worry about low numbers if he is not on insulin. Cats normally range from 40-120, off insulin. So don't give him any high carb stuff - you don't want to stop his progress.

He might be having a reaction to one of the proteins in the food. Maybe stick with one flavor for a few days, then introduce another. That may give you a clue.

We say a cat is in remission if they range from 40-120 for 14 days, without insulin. Shall we start the countdown?

I only felt I needed to boost up Skipper's BG one time. I think he was at 52. I just put a little honey on his gums. U just finished the "remission" process. My advice would be to test 3 tunes a day and have a rising plan if he does rise above say 150. I can at it like it wasn't a countdown at first, but eventually it becomes one. Our biggest road block was and will always be contraband...crackers, popcorn and pizza crust!
Great idea about eliminating flavors to see if it is a reaction. We ended up just feeding two flavors. Cats don't need as much variety as we think!
Good luck! Things are looking good!
