I read some of the past posts on Wysong but wanted to see if anyone has a CRF diabetic that is doing well on one of the Wysong products combined with any other foods? I'm looking at these foods due to low phos while wanting to obviously maintain the right food for diabetes. Thanks for any recommendations/warnings/etc.

Wysong is a great food and although I did have a cat with CRF, I was still feeding dry back then
and any brand dry is bad. When I changed my brood over to canned food I got all the low carb.
ones from Wysong but as delicious as they looked, out of 10 cats, only one really liked.
But with my dogs it is the total opposite, they love the canned! They don't have very many with
low carbs though.

Interesting - low interest by the cats. I visited 2 places yesterday that were listed as local stores by the Wysong website but neither carry it anymore. There's another place about 15 miles away I'll call today to try. But, there's likely a reason I didn't get many input items on this post - probably both lack of interest by the kitties and perhaps cost. I'll see what I can find out. I may even order on line from Wysong a few cans just to try if I can't find it locally (seems ridiculous though as we're in Los Angeles where pretty much everything is within a short drive...). Thanks for your note!

Wysong is very expensive! I fed my cats their dry for years, still supplement the dog's food with their dry but
don't get got caught up in the spiel that they have the "perfect" food .....

I have settled in with FF low carb, mostly the pates and Wellness. Try and stay away from too many fish flavors,
not suppose to be good too much. Also, Friskies has a lot of low carb, my brood likes a good selection of food!
they have me trained well. Also your basic chicken/turkey, cooked or not, is always liked. My Payne LOVES raw
turkey meat! Also remember to mix water in with the canned. I use 1 can water mixed with 1 can wet. I have
had to add another litter box but I am sooo happy that so much liquid is going through them.

For certain there appears to be no perfect food. And I appreciate the comments on the fish - too much phospherous. I was surprised that Wellness foods run a higher phos levels than some of the others. I'll just have to be careful of balancing the low carbs and low phos. Thanks!

Many of the Evo 95% are pretty low in phosphorous and carbs. I was looking into Wysong Chicken au Jus for my kidney cat. It is not a balanced diet, though and would need supplements added.
