Seeking guidance on steps to remission

Hello again! I had a thread going last week but it got lengthy so I started a new one. I hope I am doing that correctly. I updated Marie's spreadsheet to reflect her last few days. On my previous thread, we were discussing taking the next steps towards remission. And, while I am very nervous, I would like any advice on how to do that. As you will see, her numbers have been too low to shoot if I am using the 200 as the lower limits. Therefore, she has not had insulin in several cycles. I was waiting until she had her dental to start this process just to make sure she cleared that hurdle first. She had her dental on Monday and seems to be feeling well without any complications that we are aware of thus far. So, my question is, where do I even start this if we are not giving any insulin currently? I am so scared to send her into a hypo event but I do want her to achieve remission. Please provide any information that can assist us. This board has saved us...possibly literally. Thank you!

Oh this is wonderful! Glad she is healing well. No do not give insulin right now.

Looks to me like an OTJ trial is in order (and already happening). @Wendy&Neko ?

Remission when they go 14 days without insulin, and still be in normal blood sugar numbers. Keep feeling her small meals throughout the day so as to not overwhelm her newly healing pancreas. So watch and wait and see how she does. By watch I mean keep getting those AMPS and PMPS tests. Retest 3 hours later if she's blue. Dentals can make a huge difference. Paws crossed.

Thank you for the responses! I will definitely keep testing every 12 hours just to make sure we are still in the green zone. At what BG should I administer insulin? And should I do .25 units?

Yes, I guess we kind of inadvertently went OTJ! And she is a grazer so the small meals are her jam.

Unfortunately I can't give a definite answer. If we see more than a few blues, we'll have to think about it. Whether and how much to give would still depend on how low she's going

Thank you for your response. I will just keep checking her BG and if we start seeing some blue numbers I will check back here about our next steps. I'm just hoping we can see all green! Thank you again.
