Seeking gel caps & pill shooter recommendations

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you can recommend any particular brand of gel caps and a pill shooter and where to get it from.

I'd prefer made in the US, not China. My cat had food refusal event yesterday and I had serious difficulty getting appetite stimulant pill into her.. Showed me how ill prepared I was for what is, unfortunately, a common occurrence with FD kitties :(:blackeye:.

All the pill shooters I've gotten are all pretty much the same. I get mine at the vets but have no idea where they are made. Most people I know order their gel caps on Amazon but don't know what or if there is a difference in certain brands.
 
I ordered gel caps on amazon. Size 5 are the smallest. I never found a pill shooter I liked. What worked is I opened his mouth, my partner put the pill in, then syringes a little water to help wash it down.
 
I liked the Krause piller best. I found it really easy to hold onto and shoot the pill/capsule. A lot of the other pillers I really had to stretch my fingers to both hold the pill shooter and do the shooting action.

Places I found with capsules are CapsuleDepot, Capsuline, Thriving Pets. As well as Amazon. Some are flavoured, some not. I got a container of 100 size #4 gelcaps from my local compounding pharmacy for about $7.

I ended up ordering these from Amazon:
HealthViaNature 100/bag Empty White Gelatin Capsules, made by USA, size 5. $5.95 for 100.
And also Kruuse pill buster - $4.21 each
