Scooter's age is different on his fPL results..?

I listed him as 6 when I filled out the sheet at the vet, they told me he was 5 1/2 when I adopted him and it had been about 6 months. I just got Scooter's fPLI results back and it says Age: 8 years. Oh and the fPLI result was 5.8. ($120 for a single number???)

Is it possible that it was a mixup or misread, 6 kinda looks like 8, or were they able to determine his age through the test somehow? I'm really REALLY hoping they didn't lie to me about his age, too.............. maybe I should call Idexx...

Pretty sure they can't tell his age from the test so I'm betting they misread the 6 as an 8. I know my vet has several things wrong on several of my cats that I'm constantly working on getting corrected. Like my Myrrdin is listed on all his charts as Merlin, because I foolishly told them when they were having a hard time figuring out how to pronounce his name that it was Welsh for Merlin, and according to them his sister's name Vanessa instead of Duvessa...Now when I take them any of mine in I ask to fill out the name part of their charts..lol.

Tomorrow should be interesting to see how confused I can get them since I'm taking in Musette whose original name was Angel so all her old vet records state Angel, and they already have records on our Angel.

I think alot of times they just read to fast because they are busy and get things wrong.
