How long does your vet want to continue to try this? Are you testing for ketones? Those are awfully high numbers.

When I look at your spreadsheet, you got decent numbers around the 2 - 2.5 unit mark......
 
i know your getting differing opinions from your vet and from us...but look at what your vet propsed before and look how following his/her instructions were potentially disasterous. i know we are just folks on the board but everytime you change his stratagy we get set back again. i really think 400 and over deserve a 2u and the 2nd stratagy of a dose for each section of numbers (do you still have it written down?) should be given a week or so to work. remember 2u's twice a day no matter what ohmygod_smile it does'nt work like that at this point for samwise.
 
Well, I thought I'd go with my "new" vets instructions and see what happens. She is better informed than my old vet and all this contradictory info is getting me and Sam nowhere right now. He is High again no matter what the dose at each Am and Pm preshot. He will go for a visit next week and I am taking him this time to talk to her since my DH always forgets what I tell him to ask. We will also do a curve this Sunday.
 
ok sue, let's walk thru it and cross our paws and finger (and legs too) that this vet can buy a clue.
