So you've been on FDMB for while now, do you notice a recent up tick in Acro/IAA chatter? That is such an informative thread...Lots of info from each of the Beans that currently are treating their Acro babies the best way then can. All are being treated and that's whats important.
I had no idea that Cornell Vet College was the top in the country. I was about to peruse their website next.

Sam settle in a bit?

I don't know if there is an actual uptick in acro/iaa cats, but I do think there's more emphasis on getting the testing now since there is more now about the prevalence of the conditions, and also some treatment options that weren't available until recently. Though honestly, it's not something I've paid close attention to since Sam has (so far anyway) been a low dose kitty.

How's Sam today?

He slept for a few minutes here and there during the night, but very lightly. He would startle at the smallest noises, and living in an urban condo, there are a lot of noises. But the fact that he slept at all makes me really happy. Fingers crossed that today he'll finally give in and have a good long sleep. Atticus is snoring away on the opposite corner of the bed, so I keep hoping the sleeping noises will inspire Sam to join in :)

Okay, he hasn't slept at all again today (it's 2pm now - woke up at 4am). At least he got a few winks last night. But, he has finally ventured off the bed and is walking around the condo. That seems like a good step since he's been too scared to leave the safety of the bed since he got home. I think the turning point was when I started packing for our trip and accidentally spilled an entire bag of kitty treats on the floor. The sound of a kitty treat free-for-all was enough to overcome his fear and he's been out here ever since. Maybe getting some walk around time will help him sleep better?
