Colorado is burning again. The nearest fire is about 10 miles north of us. It won't come into our urban area but two of our friends have had their homes burned to the ground overnight.

Surreal. Smoke is thick in the air and helicopters are flying over. The movers come this morning and our closing is tomorrow. Then driving to Seattle with Niko and staying for 2 months while our new home is finished.
 
D*mn. I hope they had some insurance, though that can't replace everything.

Hope your move goes well.
 
i saw on the news last night that there were fires in colorado springs and instantly thought of you. glad to hear you are safe but sorry to hear about your friends. stay safe
 
Im so sorry that your friends had this happen. Im also glad to hear that you and your family are safe. I remember when I lived in Florida and we had the fires. I never had to worry about myself however I helped many a family gather their belonging and run. I even tried to save a dog that was on the side of the road and the woods behind him were on fire. I could not catch him because he was to afraid of me. It was such a sad thing to see people and animals running and the smoke so thick you cant breathe. I would not wish that on anyone!! So tragic!

So sorry Sue. I have a friend that lives there and they had to evacuate. Prayers are with you and your friends/family.
