Did not test before work...conserving strips....numbers seem okay at that time anyway.

AMPS = 231 @ 8:00AM

0.75 unit @ 8:30AM

In a pm, you asked me the following.

I have a few questions.

Since she is always in the "180-280 mg/dl" range, how concerned should I be? Should her dose be adjusted? Since we have been doing 0.75 unit, she has been surfing along....but still in the YELLOW's. Comments please.

Since the 0.75 unit dose she has evened-out under the ">= 280 mg/dl" range. This is a good thing....but I wish she would get down to the BLUE's and stay there. The 0.75 seems to be working well, but not good enough.

Comments please.

Honestly, yes, getting her down lower would be better for her. I thought that giving you the reference numbers would help you decide how much you want to push for lower numbers. If you can get her nadir between 100 mg/dL and 150 mg/dL, for example, that might be a reasonable goal given that you aren't home a lot, and really don't want to miss work or sleep dealing with a possible hypo.
