Fed

SKINNY 0.5 unit @ 8:30AM

Last weeks or so.....Looks like as soon as she eats.....she poops it out....not runny ..... just soft blob that looks about the size of a can of Friskies ?!?!?!?!

Feed different flavors all the time. Same selection since I started them all on Friskies.

As far as I can tell, civies' poops aren't like "THE BLOB".

It is soooo gross looking... AAACCCCKKKKK. Smells up the entire house too. :roll:

May need to test her stool or blood.
Could be exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), where there aren't enough pancreatic enzymes to work properly digesting food. Treatment is some over the counter pancreatic enzymes to help digestion.

Jeepers Cats.....never heard of this. Is this like all the new hoopla about humans taking pro-biotics?

No this is more like the pancreas has multiple functions. If one part isn't working well, it is possible the other part may be affected.

Enzymes are not probiotics (beneficial bacteria). Without lipase, you can't break down fat. Without amylase, it is more difficult to break down any starches. Without proteases, you can't break down protein. Probiotics may help, but don't do the starting steps the enzymes do.

Just did a search on this. Damn Mr. P causing more problems. :YMSIGH:
 
You might call your vet and find out how much it would cost for the blood test and a stool test (for fat, unless theres a possibility of parasites). The bloodwork should be done fasting.

It might be easier just to try some probiotics(FortiFlora or 1-2 tesaspoons plain yogurt with active cultures) and/or digestive enzymes (ex MErcola healthy Pets) and see if it helps.

She had a can of Friskies Country Style Dinner Pate about an hour ago and poop (LOL) was more normal.

I have been trying to keep her mostly on the Friskies Turkey & Giblets Dinner Pate.....maybe that is causing the issue all of a sudden. I will stop feeding her that one for a few days and add daily poop-reports on her condo. OH JEEEEEZZZZ. :roll: :lol:

If food flavor does not work I will try your suggestions.
