I am sure the "hissy-fit" (as I call them) definitely contributed to the higher PMPS. RumpelT was still acting goofy at PMPS time.
RumpelT has never acted that way towards any of the kittehs. As a matter of fact, she is always trying to groom them....it is actually funny to watch....if she notices one of them in a position that is easy to groom, she starts licking their head and face. She has always done this especially to Mungojerrie (her brother). If her target does not want to be bothered with a head-lick, they just walk away from her. Except, Mocchie....she gives RumpelT a light '*****-slap' with her paw
I think RumpelT should be getting fed either more food after AMPS/PMPS and/or getting another meal during the day. She is sooooo anxious at food time....she practically runs over the other kittehs to make sure she gets fed first (she always does anyway). It is hard to explain how she acts. When she IS eating, the food flies all over the place....lands on her head....all over her face....she is finished with 1-1/2 cans of FF in less than 60 seconds. I am surprised she has never barfed it back up from eating so fast!
Glad she is back down too. Her (+6) is back to her 'normal' ;-) number today.
None of the other kittehs , even RumpelT, have ever challenged JaRule. They all know better.
JaRule has ALWAYS been the alpha-cat I never ever saw JaRule cower/run-away/back-down from any of my kittehs like she did yesterday. If provoked, JaRule would be the one to attack the provoker. JaRule was always the one that would start the "hissy-fit" issues. Very strange episode it was yesterday.
Nails are all clipped....but during the hissy-fit episodes....if they actually get into a "contact" position, it usually a chase/grab/roll/fur-flying/lots of yelling-growling type thing that lasts for a few seconds because the attacker lets go of the victim. JaRule is the only one that ever did the attacking and she mostly targeted Rasql (who stays away from JaRule at all times).
JaRule has not been doing much 'hissy-fitting' lately (getting older now). Maybe RumpeT just wanted to get a rise out of her.
I have to chuckle a little here.....RumpelT is turning into a wild nut. But she does like to be near me (sleeping on floor by my chair as I type this). She does this real funny thing with her butt and tail sometimes when she seems to get excited (about food LOL ). Her tail goes straight up as she walks real fast.....and her butt and tail do this hysterically funny "flutter" thing for a few seconds....it always makes me laugh.
Speed eaters! Yup, I've got two of them. I think it takes 120 seconds though for Monet and Delta to finish off their food but I add a LOT of water to it to slow them down a bit. That is why the time has stretched out to 120 seconds these days. ohmygod_smile
