Tested & gave treat before I let for work ----- 234 @ 1:15AM

AMPS= 589 @ 7:30AM WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!
 
Possibilities:
1) the. 0.75 is too much - go back to 0.5
2) she's bouncing - keep with the 0.76
3) she hasn't settled into the higher dose - keep with the 0.75

What would you like to do?

Hold on while I test her again....now. Maybe bad strip or something. Be Right Back.

Meter did not give a number....just says "Hi".
 
A dose of 0.75 will bring that down with room for safety, based on previous data.

I was thinking that. I will feed .... I am sure she will eat well. And then do 0.72 units.


ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile She was just in my den....one of my cats eats dry food and I keep a bowl on my desk...I put cover on when food is off-limits....forgot to put cover on after test/food thing before I left for work. She was just at the bowl...I chased her away....maybe she was eating that food overnight ..... I have no idea !!! Jeepers Cats !!!! nailbite_smile :roll:

Going to feed them now.... I have to leave no later than 8:10 for appt. and have to make sure they all eat so I can pick up food bowls before I leave. After the night I had .... I don't need this right now.
 
Contraband will do that. If you haven't already done so, maybe switching the dry to Wellness Core or Innova Cat & Kitten would be useful; it would do less harm if she got into it.

I'd go with the 0.75; it hasn't taken her too low so far.

The dry food sounds like the culprit Misty :sad: Glad BJ was here for you.
Hope she comes down quickly and gets back on track. These things happen and another cycle is in 12 hours.

Just got back from my appointment. Will test her now. Hope number is good.

Note: I forgot to cover one of the dry food bowls after test/food hoopla before I left for work at 1:15AM. She may have eaten some of the dry food during the night...I have no way of telling. I may have to stop testing before I leave for work....I am in too much of a hurry + have to make sure RumpelT only eats 1 tsp FF + keeping her separated from other kittehs while they chomp on food + making sure all food bowls are covered before I leave. I have found bowls tossed onto the floor when I get home in the morning...they are trying to open them!!! :roll: I am mentally exhausted....it has gotten to the point that during the day I am not motivated to do anything.....feel like a zombie....don't think from lack of sleep...just way too stressed out. Trying to be calm....I noticed that I have been raising my voice at my kittehs....I never did this before....they are used to a quiet/peaceful house....I think I am scaring them....this is not good. Every day I plan out the things I "need" to do....ha ha....tomorrow is another day. If I don't get my taxes (which take time due to forms relating to my job) started soon....I am going to go nuts! I need major focus to do them + other things.....focus is totally gone :YMSIGH:

when you know you have a safe dose, you do not need to test every 2 hours daily. You may do the pre-shot tests and occasional nadir tests.

I was trying to get some consistent "time" info for my SS. I will test at (+5) and (+8) + PMPS today.....unless some weird number decides to pop up.

I agree. Once you have the data that shows a dose is safe, you can test at shot time, then maybe at +5ish. If you don't see an alarmingly low number then, you can probably put this test kit up until the next preshot test. Right now, .75u on a preshot of 300 or more looks like a good dose to me.

The "next test" should be dictated by the number you see from "this test", and don't have to be done on an automatic schedule.

And don't "fear" low blue or high green numbers at nadir time. That's what you want to see :-)

Will be doing PMPS @ 7:15PM. Hope all goes well. I don't think I will test/treat before I leave for work unless weirdness at PMPS time. It is too dangerous....I am in kind of a 'stupor' when I get up for work :roll: It is not like when a normal job that you get up an hour or so before you have to leave....have breakfast/read paper/shower/etc. I get up...wash face/brush teeth/brush hair/throw on clothes/leave.....all in about 15 minutes or less. :roll:

I would agree that the .75u should be fine on that number.
You need to find a better hiding place for those bowls :-) Or get bowls with suction cups on the bottom so they cant be flung off the furniture :-D

I heard them on the counter and looked into the kitchen.....they were actually trying to get the lids off!!! Jeepers Cats!!! Next they will be cooking up steaks on the grill or deep-frying fish fillets!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
