AMPS 237
Here's a quick recap...started ugly last night
PMPS 419
+2 374
+5 284
+10 190

AMPS 237 - Good job Ruby!

My sliding scale says .3 and I might be able to get away around +5 or so today to sneak in a test.

That does look promising Amy! (touch wood, anti-jinx)
Fingers and pink kitty toes crossed for ya here!
Hoping the day brings you some good numbers! TGIF!

Wow! Nice AMPS! What did you shot last night that brought about such a nice drop?

And what shoes does Ruby have on for such fancy steps? Red Ruby? ohmygod_smile

I'm hoping .3 sticking to scale is the way to go this morning but I'm always doubtful.

How'd your night go?

Teresa - looks like you and I posted at the same time.

Last night I bumped up to .4 because she was so high. Looking at the numbers again, I really need to know what happened during those mystery hours between +5 and +10. Which did the nadir lay closest to?
If its the +10 then I'm thinking we're back to the duration being too long. If its closer to +5, then we're doing good.

Sounds like it's going to be a curve weekend, eh? :-D I like your thought of the .3u for this morning, using your scale.

Morning Amy, ~O)

I'm popping into any thread titled "this has potential! to see what's going on.
No comment on the dose as I am not familiar with micro dosing to dare comment but sweet AMPS! Looks like you made a good call last night and it paid off.

Every weekend is a curve weekend for poor Ruby. I'm thinking I'll stay up tonight and run one, to see if I can catch those mystery hours at night for a change.

Good morning fellow mini-dosers!

Ruby's numbers look great! I'm jealous - I WISH I could get a PS in the 200s! I'm with you guys - EVERY weekend is a curve weekend! And, I'm off to day for some home projects, so it's gonna be a LONG weekend for the little guy!

Gray's +10 is 410, so I'm running one or two more tests in the next hour and aniticpate shooting him a little early... but his nadir is sometimes REALLY REALLY late, (I actually expected it to be about now!). Instead, I'm pretty sure he's on the upswing since he's back in the red... but he's proven that assumption wrong before! No marathon last night/this morning as has typically been his case.

We's been shooting .2 units, so I typically have late nadirs and long cycles. I guess that's a good problem to have, compared to what so many others experience on this board! Hope your good numbers continue!!!

Lu-Ann

It hasn't been uncommon for Ruby to hit her nadir at around +10 or +11, which is why I'm betting that 190 at +10 was her nadir. She's lazy and doesn't like to rush into things.

If this is a "micro dosing" club, I shouldn't respond!!!!!!

But, Ruby looks good this morning! Here's hoping the good numbers continue.

This is so not the "micro dosing" club. This is the "trying to figure out what the heck to do now" club, if anything!

This is somewhat the pattern Sneakers is following- though I currently have a higher dosage going on as she isn't regulated yet.

Good going!

Ruby is far from regulated. We've been lowering her dosage because her cycles were so long that a lot of times she was on the edge of being too low to shoot in the mornings, causing her to climb into the reds in the evening.

That hasn't happened in a while but now we're in the pattern of tending to run too high in general. Its just so dang frustrating!

Hang in there! It takes time for their bodies to fully adjust to the insulin. You are making great progress!

Hoping Ruby has another great day, and fabulous amps!!
Keep up the great work Ruby!!
extra treat for her today!

I'm supposed to go to a dinner tonight that would keep me out of the house from right after the PM shot until probably close to + 5 or +6.
I don't know if that's a good idea or not. I could still test during the mystery hours.

+11 407
Crapsticks.

Is it time to give it up and try the Lantus because this just doesn't seem to be working? She's pretty obviously not feeling well and even though she's had good spots, for the 5 days she's been over 300 most of the time. I worry about neuropathy and other long term effects of her running high this high.

What kind of dose do you recommend tonight? Stay with the .4 like last night & this morning or something else?

I'll keep thinking about the Lantus thing.

When you only look at the PSs it's not pretty...and would concern me too. However, when you look at the numbers you get during the cycle...those are not bad at all! To me...and I'm no expert...it seems when the insulin is gone, it's gone. Ruby spikes after eating, and when the insulin is gone. During the cycle, she's got some nice numbers going - yellows and blues.

I'm curious. When you test for PSs...how long since the last shot? And is it the same for AM as PM?

Its almost always between +11.5 and +12, both morning and night.

She's eating well, but definitely quiet for her. From what I can tell, her water intake and output aren't over the top. They've been worse, but they've been better.

I went with the .4
I'm heading out to dinner and will check back in later, probably +4 or +5 ish. Let's see where they mystery goes tonight.

+6 242

She ended up only eating about half of her dinner earlier and it looked like she probably slept most of the time were gone. She ate almost all of the rest of her dinner around 11:00 (+5) and seemed to perk up a bit. For having eaten an hour before this test 242 isn't too bad.

+8 210

Again heading to the late nadir.

I'm going to try to snag a couple of hours of sleep and give her a bit of a break. Hopefully I can keep her out of the pink and red tomorrow (today? Saturday)

+10 262

So the nadir is somewhere around +9

It seems like once she hits the nadir, she starts going back up pretty fast. With as long as it takes to drop, is it normal to go back up that quickly?

~O) Good morning Amy and Ruby.

I'm not really sure when fast rising is considered normal or too fast.

Considering how fast Ruby climbs at the end...I wonder if shooting the rise is an option? Sue or Robin or Carl, I think, might know (where you shoot when she starts to rise instead of a set schedule). Just seems when Ruby girl is done...she's done. :-D No pussy footing around with her! (I crack me up. Sheesh. I need more coffee! ~O) )

The problem with that is that it probably conflicts with my work schedule. That would happen around 4:00 pm (for the evening shot) and I don't get home until 5:30 at the earliest.
I leave the house by 7:30 in the morning.

If shooting on the rise is an option (Sue, Robin, and Carl would have a much better idea on this), could the AM shot be moved a bit later? Just a thought. :-D I know Ruby won't like it - wanting her food when momma gets up and all.

I know how frustrated you are with her high PSs...so trying to think outside the box. :-D
