I have a question for anyone out there. Roscoe, sugarkitty, did something strange today. The unstrange thing is she threw up, but then she went into the litter box and went outside the litter box, on the bed, and in our bedroom closet trying to go to the bathroom. She had a bout of cystitis earlier, but don't think that is it. Does anyone have any idea of what this might be? She is at the vet overnight. They did an xray and it just showed a little stool in the colon...they didn't think it was unusual. She has only eaten a little bit, but hasn't pooped or peed yet. She is on IV fluids. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thank you. confused_cat

Diabetic neuropathy may slow the motility of the GI tract.

You've ruled out obvious constipation in the colon.

Can they see the small intestine and if it has a blockage? If it won't go one way, it'll go the other and provoke vomiting.

I'm not sure if they could see the small intestine, the vet did say there were no blockages anywhere, so I guess that would rule that out too. I'm going to call the vet again in a little while.
