Rock's BG is a little too high for my liking this evening.
It is either because he is up and down (bouncy sugar dance) or because he got into contraband this evening shortly before testing: he jumped on the kitchen countertop in search of food and he found some on our plates including sweet chilli sauce! I didn't clean straight after dinner.
I was just too tired as I went for a 3 hours cross-country walk with my friends and our dogs! I wonder if I'll be able to get up tomorrow morning!
So his number is 7.9 on pet meter and 6 on human one.
He usually has 2 point rise in BG after eating or more. Is it because he is diabetic?
I started checking my own BG and my number doesn't go up at all after food, my fasting was 5.4 and 2 hours after coffee and breakfast it was still 5.4.
I made Rocky walk 1o times around the garden to help with spike of BG.
See what tomorrow will bring.

Hi Marlena, 6 isn't a bad number! Maybe a little higher than you would like but I would not suggest a shot right now, did you?

I think Rocky wanted to 'spice up his life a little' with that sweet chilli sauce hahahaha :joyful:

I think the average BG always goes up after eating, even with humans and it doesn't matter if you are diabetic or not. Food/carbs will make your BG go up, even if there are almost no carbs in food. (It will go up but not that much with low carb food)
Hugs and kisses from Baco, Minnie and me :bighug::kiss:

Hi Ruby,
no, I didn't even contemplate a shot as I've looked at other cats SS and an odd higher number did appear only to disappear later.
As Rocky likes curry he thought that a bit more of spice would be good for him!
See how it goes tomorrow.
Thank you my darling for watching over us.
Love and hugs for you, Baco, Minnie and BF.:)

Well, Rocky is doing something I don't understand.
Last night he went too high 2 hours after food and then dropped to a nice green number.
I think if he does not consistently give me number below 7 I would consider a tiny dose of insulin. By now he should be going more into green numbers.
I'm a bit frustrated but the main thing he is ok and his BGs are ok but I want them lower if we want remission.

Thank you my darling.
How are you coping with life at the moment? Is everything OK?
I'm a bit off as I don't sleep very well at present and the weather gets me so as soon as I start relaxing, sitting down and reading I feel like falling asleep! Just like an old person! Terrible!

Same here Marlena - not sleeping well, partly due to the very short nights and light mornings! Shouldn't complain really but yes, it does make staying awake during the day difficult!
Take care and don't worry too much about Rocky, he seems to be doing great
