Evening Everyone! Does anyone have experiences or thoughts on Dia-lonX.....does it really help to stabilize blood glucose levels? Can it be used with insulin? Cindy & Sabrina would love to hear feedback from members of the forum........ confused_cat

Dia-IonX has not been tested on dogs or cats, and contains vanadium and chromium, which have been proven to be less effective in pets than humans. At best it's likely ineffective, and at worst it could harm to your cat. I would save your money and stick with the current recommended treatment, which is a long acting insulin like Lantus or Levemir, a low carb canned diet (NO dry, not even a little), and small dose adjustments based on daily home testing data. This treatment plan has been proven to cause remission in 86% of newly diabetic cats.

Someone else recently asked about this product, here is the thread:

General consensus: stay away from it. At present, insulin, home testing and a low carb diet is the recognised, tried and tested treatment for diabetic cats.

If something new is developed, you can be sure you'll hear about it here first!
