I've been trying to get this information from Reveal ( https://revealpetfood.com ) since September. Despite many attempts, it seems that they are just flat out refusing. I've included a screenshot of my entire correspondence with them via messenger (I've also included the text from the image of the conversation at the end of this post).

I can not support a company who claims to be transparent in regards to the contents of their cat food but yet they refuse to provide info about those contents when questioned. Therefore, I will no longer be purchasing their food for my cats or for the 13 community cats in the colony that I feed.

_______________

Hello, Could you please tell me what the carbohydrate % & Phosphorus % is for your line of cat food cans? i am asking because, I need to make sure that I can contuine to feed your food to my recentley diagnosed diabetic cat.
Thank you

Hi there ! I still haven't heard anything back yet in regards to my question about the % of carbohydrates & phosphorus in your cat food cans. I currently but the both the tuna 12 can box & the chicken 12 can box & I would like to know if I can continue to feed them to my 13 year old cat who was recently diagnosed diabetic with feline diabetes. Thank you!

Hello Kristin, we are sorry for the delayed response, but we recommend that you ask your vet. We want the best for your cat

My vet recommended that I find out the values in the food that he is currently eating and reveal is part of what he currently eats (he eats your food either as a "topper"or as snack).
Surely you know how much phosphorus & carbs are in your products right? That's all I'm looking for. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide those % for me.

Thank you.

Hello Kristin, we are very sorry for the delayed response, we are working on giving you the most accurate response soon. Thank you for understanding, Reveal

Hello Kristin, When pets are diagnosed with health conditions such as diabetes by a Veterinarian, we would always recommend that they follow a prescribed diet that the Vet has suggested.
Prescribed diets have specifically balanced nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats etc., The products are tested to ensure that the nutrition values are controlled and can meet the on pack claims to support the pets specific dietary needs.

On this occasion, we are unable to provide the information, but understand that there are many prescriptive diets available, in both wet and dry formats which would meet the cats dietary needs.
Thanks and again sorry for the delayed response, Reveal

Let me make this clear, I am not asking you for advice on what to feed my cat. I'm only asking you for information about your food so I can give that information to my veterinarian (per her request).
I am simply asking for a list of the amount of carbohydrates and phosphorus that your line of canned cat food contains. Every single other cat food company I have contacted has no problem with providing this information for me and has not given me the run-around. I don't understand why providing me with this information is such a problem for a company who claims to be so transparent about the ingredients that are in their cat food to do

I would appreciate if it does not take almost a month again to reply. I first asked for this information on 9/23/2020. The longest it has taken any of the other companies whom I have asked for the same information has been 12 days.
Thank you

I apologise if my message comes off as being harsh, as that is not my intention.
Of you your self are a pet guardian, I'm hoping that you can understand my frustration with not being able to have access to the information about what is in the food that I feed to my cats.
I'm not asking if it is or is not ok for my cat to eat your food given his dietary restrictions. That decision is for my vet to make. All that I am asking for is information as to what is in your food & it's no different than asking to read the nutrition information that is listed on your label. It's just that the specific information that I need is not listed on the label. Given how much my cats seem to enjoy eating Reveal & How your webpage seems to paint a picture of Reveal as being a pet food company that cares about what goes into your products & the cats who consume your food, I would really like to continue to support your brand. However if I can not have access to the information about what is in it then I'm sorry to say that I can not support the only pet food company who will not simply tell me how much phosphorus & carbohydrates that the food I buy to feed my cats contains.

Hi Kristin,
Thank you for your email. We are sorry to hear your pet has been unwell. As pet lovers ourselves we know how stressful it can be when our pet becomes unwell and we hope that your cat makes a speedy recovery. All our products have been developed to help keep healthy pets healthy. As you may be aware, BVA rules do not allow us to give out recommendations for the feeding of our products for the treatment of sick animals, as these products have not undergone clinical trials. We would advise you to seek or take guidance from your vet to meet your pet’s individual health requirements.

Thank you for your enquiry, unfortunately we cannot give you the full analysis of our product, as this would be classed as intellectual property.

As the protein we use is from freshly prepared meat or fish the phosphate levels will vary and as such we are unable to give you a phosphate level for our recipes.

we advise that you seek a specialist food from your vet that has been created to deal with such conditions.
