Hi - I'm new to this board, poked around a bit but haven't posted. I have a 13-year-old diabetic foster cat, Deer, who is on Lantus.

I'm going to be away from July 17 - 27, and I am looking for a catsitter who can do BG tests and shots for Deer. I live in Arlington, Virginia, near the Court House metro. Ideally someone could stay here or visit every 12 hours, but Deer could stay with someone instead if you have a spare room. I know he's not going to get as much testing and regulation as when I'm home, but I'd like to at least do two tests a day if possible :) Deer is very patient with the testing, since he knows he gets treats after.

Anyone live in the area and could watch him, or do you know of a petsitter or service that could? Thanks!

I can likely do it at your place. I have no spare rooms and based on my experience, moving cats to a new environment upsets their schedule, especially eating, for days.
At what time do you normally test, feed and shoot?
Is there easy car parking?
I live by Reagan National Airport.

What a great match. You are very fortunate that Larry lives so close. I would definitely take him up on his offer. :thumbup

Thank you for the quick reply and offer! I had a crazy day driving all over the place to rescue some newborn kittens, but I will be in touch tomorrow!
