I'm sure there's a post on this, but my husband will call soon to ask what to get on his way home.. Which ReliOn model should I get? Prime/Premier/Micro?
If I get Prime, is there a particular size lancet to use with it? I think I saw a few choices. Thank you.
Gonna set up my signature soon.

I can't answer your question on which meter. I didn't know they still made the micro? I'd say whichever one takes the smallest blood sample. It doesn't matter the brand of lancet, but look for one that is 26 or 28 gauge.

The lancets Chris suggested are the ones that make the larger “pricks” so it’s easier to get more blood. The lowest the number the bigger the tiny hole so 26 and 28 are best for beginners but I’ve used 30 before and it worked fine for me. ReliOn needs .5 of blood but again, I’ve rarely ever had an issue getting the needed amount. At any rate, the lancet brand does not matter since it doesn’t do anywhere near your meter. Get the cheapest is my recommendation. You’ll go through a lot of those as well. The test strips do need to be the ReliOn and match the meter :)

Not sure what he came home with, but this would be what Chris referenced. Walmart calls them "thin", which is 26 gauge, but other companies may only say something more like the "alternate site use" like this box also says: https://www.walmart.com/ip/ReliOn-Thin-Lancets-100-count/34088206

In humans it is for testing somewhere other than the finger, like the belly, forearm or thigh, hence "alternate site" -- which requires a bigger lancet.

Target UP&UP brand is also reasonably priced but I think ReliOn is the cheapest. And when you start getting blood reliably, you can move to smaller ReliOn lancets (bigger numbers) like https://www.walmart.com/ip/ReliOn-Ultra-Thin-Lancets-200-count/43184842
