I need a little assistance.
I was told there is a spread sheet to help me when using the Relion monitor.
I am having to buy this one because I cannot find test strips for the Pettest Advocate I have. I ordered 100 test strips and I just got a message they have canceled my order and I have no clue why.

So I am going to Walmart today and buy the Relioin, I need to test my boy before I run out of the Pettest strips.

I was told it reads differently than the pet monitor and I need to know how to understand the numbers when I test.
Can someone help me out?

There's no direct comparison between human and pet meters. Many people have tried but it's just not possible. There's just no set formula like "if I get X on a human meter, it would be Y on a pet meter"

The important thing to remember is your "time to act"....if your cat drops below 50 on the human meter, you need to intervene with some high carb food or Karo/honey/syrup to bring him back up. On a pet meter, below 68 is your "time to act" so at low numbers, they're actually pretty close. As the numbers go higher, there will be more of a difference, but then it really doesn't matter if your cat is at 380 or 500...."too high" is always too high.

Normal blood glucose on a human meter is 50-120. On a pet meter it's 68- about 150

I have been using the Relion premier for a year. I love it. It is very accurate and walmart offers free delivery. I can order test strips online and get them delivered the same day. I think you will be very happy with a Relion meter.
