Relion Micro meter and memory....

The first time (weeks and weeks ago) that my Relion Micro meter failed to retain in memory a test I had just done, I thought I was crazy. But it happened again last night with the +3 reading.

I know I did a +3 last night, and recorded it on Pumbaa's SS, and also on the dry erase board in the kitchen. But when I went to do his +6 last night, the number that popped up in the window was the PMPS number, not his +3 number. When I went scrolling through memory this morning, there was no record of the +3 reading last night.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?

The meter seems to be functioning fine other than this little glitch. I did the control solution test on Friday and that checks out just fine.

My micro did that a couple of times too. Shortly after that happened, I got the "battery dead" symbol and switched the battery. I also had to reset the date manually a couple of times although I seem to remember the manual saying that it shouldn't be necessary after changing batteries...

I THINK I may have had it happen with my Relion Confirm once before...I thought I must have used the other meter without remembering doing so.

My ReliOn Micro also pooped out early. I have read that the original batteries don't last as long as the newly purchased ones. Wasn't surprised when in my Instructions booklet I noticed the year 2004 in one of the pics!!! New batteries work great. I get a kick out of your posts. Love your attitude!

Being the anal-retentive person that I am, I purchased new batteries about 2 months ago, expecting the the original battery to crap out in the middle of the night...during a dive. nailbite_smile

I'll go change the battery now!
