Ive looked on here but cant seem to find the thread about this meter and strips being discontinued, im getting low on my test strips but also have a back up meter and strips just in case,but someone on here said another brands strips would work in the confirm meter.... does anyone know of this? thank you
 
apparently Walmart still has Confirm strips warehoused, they will "ship to store" at least at the moment -- I'm going to hassle them to see if I can get that very last Confirm meter which is still showing (online) as one left in stock -- I'm having trouble getting the Prime strips to "sip" enough blood even though the drop on Catcat's ear is more like 1 ml, maybe more, and it's a pain, physical and mental, holding on to him while it spreads, and while the strip, in contact with his ear, isn't filling up
 
actually another question, has anyone tried adding the blood to the strip BEFORE inserting strip into meter? Catcat completely freaked out with the strip and meter held near his ear

do you pick it up in walmart pharmacy or the regular pick up spot in the store?
 
small success, I just bought their last Confirm glucometer, plus got new test strips, now to see if the smaller sample required, actually gives me numbers -- discouraging getting zero result after successfully getting a blood drop out of Catcat's ear -- why was it not on the shelf nor behind the counter at pharmacy? ..... well, apparently the box had been opened, looks like something rubbed or scraped across the box top, peeling off some of the paper, though the seal was still unbroken, and contents were all there after I checked, so it had been rerouted to the Clearance shelf (still the original price), must have been sitting there for the last couple of days while I was looking for it

I used to have the same problem with the Prime meter. I would scoop the blood droplet onto my thumbnail and then load it onto the strip.
