Hello everyone!
I was just curious if anyone has had issues with WalMart not having the 100-ct test strips, or any amount actually, in stock for this meter? Two of my local stores said they did not even see any on order. Same thing for a store near my parents. I realized on the website it looks like they are changing the package and new shipments might have different UPC numbers.

I just checked online and it appears the Walmart near me has some in stock. They also now qualify for free 2 day shipping if you want to have them shipped to you.

I just ordered some off E-bay for about $10 less :). Lisa, I did that as well but I had just come home from my store when online had them still listed as "in stock" but the shelves were clearly empty lol. Even asked an associate to double check and that is how I found out that store had none on order so I was just seeing if anyone had been to their local WalMart and found same issue :)

Our local Walmarts often have only one box on the shelf, I think because of shoplifting, and they keep the rest behind the counter so be sure to ask the pharmacist if you haven't already.

Also, the Walmart strips are made by Arkray, you can see that on the strip itself. So the actual Arkray strips are 100% compatible. For the Confirm and Micro, the equivalent is this: https://www.adwdiabetes.com/product/arkray-glucocard-01-sensor-blood-glucose-test-strips_4047.htm

They are currently $36.10 per 100 at ADW, where Walmart is $35.88 per 100. But if you hate going into a Walmart unless you absolutely have to, like I do... :p

The one by me does the same thing, keeps one on the shelf in a lock box. Makes me have to talk to associates . Don't get me wrong, I appreciate WalMart's prices but I rarely have any good customer service experiences so I do not like interacting with the associates.

I order them online from Walmart.com. Free shipping usually for over $50 so I order 2 boxes at a time. Beats standing in the pharmacy line to get them from behind the counter.

I have to order them online and can usually pick them up at the store a day or two later. They're rarely in stock at my store :(

Right now on ebay there are 620 strips for $42.00, shopping is $8.35. Now a lot of these strips expire fairly soon, but if you do a lot of curves, and/or just test a lot this is a really good deal. It is an auction though, so price might go up, the auction is over in about 22 hours.

I ordered some from e-bay, almost as soon as I saw Bronx's dad and Airway mention it lol. Thanks for the heads up on that auction though :cat:

My Wal-mart moved the stock behind the counter citing shoplifting as the reason. Apparently, diabetic testing supplies are in high demand in countries like India, so there are organized efforts to steal them and ship them overseas where they can be sold at a premium.
