I've read in the FAQ sticky note about regulation (6. REGULATION Q6.1. What is regulation? http://www.felinediabetes.com/fdmb-faq.htm) to know the numbers I should aim for, but it's not clear to me if the values are according to what we get in human glucometers or not. Could someone please make this clear for me?

I remember that someone mentioned (I can't find where) that the real cat glucose is higher than what we get in human meters and since I have a human meter (Contour TS by Bayer), I'd like to know what conversion should I do to get approximately the real value.

Thanks a lot :)

Hi Ceci,
The numbers in the information - (FAQ's; 6. REGULATION Q6.1) - are based on tests using ordinary human glucose meters.

Amimal-specific meters (like the Alphatrak) usually read a smidge higher than human meters do. But both readings are correct. It's rather like Centigrade and Fahenheit; two ways of measuring the same thing... :bighug:
