Finally found a vet today with an open appt for Celia's week long constipation & said he didn't feel any poop in her when he examined her abdominal area. By this time, she has been still either diarrheaing or nothing coming out after she strains multiple times a day & last night, she was aggressive & yelled like in in pain when touching her. He said he thought it was just senior stress & was more concerned about her having arthritis (even though her vet never mentioned that 2 mths ago). He also gave her an antibiotic Rx. So Im getting a 2nd opinion to find the ROOT of the problem. He mentioned getting a probiotic, but all the ones I've located have fruit (like papaya) or sweet potato or sucrose, etc. in them. Is this safe for FD cats?If not, Anyone know which brands there are for FD cats? Prefer a powder. Thanks!

Number one probiotic- Visbiome Vet. It comes in little packets to mix with food or capsules (also mix with food.) Get the packets for palatability. This product has done wonders for my IBD kitty.
They also have a new product called Constipation Care that can be used in conjunction with other remedies like Mira-Lax and Lactulose.

If you can only spend a little (as I see you said above) get Proviable DC. $31.34 with Chewy’s autoship - 60 capsules.
What about getting some Bulgarian yogurt (highly recommend White Mountain Bulgarian Yogurt) and mixing a little in food or seeing if your cat will eat it straight? It has 90 billion CFUs.
