Hi there,
Do folks here work with an internal specialist, a cat-only vet, or their regular vet to manage their diabetic cat?
My cat Milo was diagnosed with diabetes as well as stage two CKD in late December 2017. I have an internal specialist who is set on managing his kidneys as a priority and has prescribed hills k/d and warned us that it's not the best diabetic food. I've done a lot of search online and believe there are better options for Milo. I am interested in seeing a second internal specialist (or a vet anyone highly recommends) to get another pair of eyes on the situation. If anyone knows of a specialist who was great at managing their cat's diabetes along with CKD I would love to pay them a visit. I am in the Los Angeles area. Thanks so much!
