? Recent DKA with high WBC count, recs for additional checks?

So Alice is on Veraflox (pradofloxacin) but of course it wasn't specifically established she had an infection or if so, what, when was in hospital last week. She had an extremely high WBC count (white blood cells) at that time. Would it be recommended to have the vet test her urine for anything, or do another CBC, etc? Low income issues but I want to be sure she isn't staying sick. :\

And it could be due to the weakness in her hind from massive wasting, but she is frequently completely missing both the high and low litter boxes, sometimes just peeing straight back. But it makes me wonder about a UTI possibility?? She had infections and crystals a few years ago but never again since, once I finally got her on the right treatment to clear it.

To look for possible UTI. Diabetic cats, especially female ones, are susceptible to UTIs. When I take my cats to the vet because they are acting off I always do a UA and bloodwork.

I agree with Larry. The sugar that can be in a FD’s urine provides the perfect storm for bacteria to grow.
