Raymond James after curve

You know Raymond James way more than I do. But I can look at his spreadsheet and see the extra large reduction was too big a drop. He needs an increase to get him out of those high numbers. Even at 50 his numbers were safe, just lower than you were used to.

This is what I have been thinking. But I am not the one who has to leave him. But, as I was saying last night, 85 was still a safe green. But I was thinking this was just a temporary reduction. Although I am not sure when your schedule will go crazy again. I wonder if you can use an automatic feeder while you are gone - for extra peace of mind.

I'm going to shoot 45 for 5 days, six cycles? Is that how long I should hold a dosage change? You're right, not use to low numbers. Just concerned being low BG for days, then not home as you know. That's when I don't know what to shoot safely.
2-20, AMPS, 198.

I was thinking about auto feeder. Don't I have to put a chip in his neck for that? Also, have other cats and a labrador who will bump Raymond James out to eat his food. Spencer is food motivated. Have to feed Raymond James in bathroom cause Spencer steels his dish. Not spoiled at all, LOL..

I'd give him a tsp or two of low carb wet food and test again in an hour, to make sure he's safe.

Did you get any tests last night after PMPS?

I sure wish I knew what happened after 64! I don’t see anything on the spreadsheet. I am hoping you kist didn’t update the sheet yet. And I was also looking at last night to see if you got any tests that might have given an indication that he was going lower — or if that blue AMPS this morning was just a complete surprise.

Did you ever get a test after that 64? I don't see one on the spreadsheet today. I would never leave my cat when I got a surprise 64 and not retest. I would feed, wait an hour and retest to see if my kitty was going up, staying flat (in which case I may feed a little more) or dropping back down again (more food and more testing). In any case, I wouldn't leave a 64 alone and not retest until PMPS... there were just too many hours between when Raymond James hit 64 and PMPS.

Are you at home at all today to get maybe a +4 and +6? or anything mid-cycle? Sorry, I don't know if you can slip home, if you work days or nights or what.

I did. PMPS, shot time, back up.

I didn't leave Raymond James. Did forget to re-test. Thanks for reminding me...

Sorry. I didn’t mean leave as in leave the house. I’m glad you were with him. You love him tons, I know! How’s it been going? Are you done with your super-long work schedule yet? I guess you should start a new thread? I hope all is well with you and your gorgeous boy.
