He beat diabetes but he couldn't beat cancer and passed away in my arms at the vet's office with lots of ear scratches and cuddles. I didn't post often but I logged on almost daily and I can't thank the folks on this forum enough for all the help I received when Ramsey was first diagnosed almost 3 years ago. After 2 years on Lantus and at age 16 he went into remission and enjoyed a full year without daily pokings before cancer claimed him. Thank you all so much for the incredibly valuable service you provide to sugar moms and dads who are facing this disease for the first time. It is so scary in the beginning but with all the information and advice available here, it soon becomes manageable. RIP my sweet boy.

Thank you for helping him lovingly to the Rainbow Bridge where he will be able to run through the grass and flowers. Allow that hole in your heart to heal so that memories of him bring laughter and smiles instead of tears and pangs. I am praying for your peace and comfort.

I am so sorry it was Ramsey's time to go. Wish they could stay with us forever...... rb_icon

So sorry for your loss. We just lost our other cat due to cancer last month, and last night my Mother had to put to sleep my childhood cat. It doesn't get any easier, but hopefully knowing they are pain free and running and jumping in heaven will give you a little comfort.

Thank you, everyone, for your tributes to my sweet Ramsey. It really helps with the hurt. I wish you all an easy journey with your oh so special kitties and may many of you come to experience the joy that is remission.
