I am down for count. Severe problem with what is most likely a bad case of sciatica. I can't get up steps at my apartment to take care of Shaak. I was not home when I hurt myself. Our roommate said he can give Shaak her food and water but he can't do shots or BG checks. I am at a friend's house, trying to make it till morning so I can just go to Dr, rather than ER. I don't know how I am going to get up and down stairs to take care of Shaak and be able to get Kirby back and forth to school. At the moment, stairs are not possible at all.

I have sciatic nerve pain often. Can your friend massage you? From the buttox to the knee. If it doesn't hurt, then it's not hard enough. You need to be in tears when they're rubbing it. Mine always feels better by the morning.

I have Physical therapy four days a week. It includes massage therapy. I would not feel comfortable allowing my roommate to touch my body in any way, besides he does not drive and would have no way to get to me. Right now I am staying at a friend's house that is out of town till midnight, she is a pediatrician and has suggested I go to ER now. I can drive with severe pain. I just can't get up stairs and have to take my daughter back and forth to her special needs program each day. I can see if my daughter might be able to rub my hip and thigh. Darn holiday!

I figure I will suffer till tomorrow and then go to PT and they will take care of it. In the long run Shaak missing two days of shots isn't the worst thing that could be. It will just be today and tomorrow hopefully. If it turns out to be worse I will call Marje and see if she could help

Ugh. Hope you feel better. It's such an awful feeling. If you haven't experienced it, it's hard to even understand, but it's awful. Sending good vibes.

Thank everyone for your prayers, I woke up this morning and felt much better. I am walking with a slight limp but managing stairs and taking care of my daughter and Shaak with no trouble.
Look into taking golden paste. Its made with turmeric. It has helped a great deal with the aches & pains in our house! :cat:

Happy to hear you're feeling better!

Tumeric helps with a lot of issues, but be sure to google side effects and drug interactions. While most can take it without any problems, I know some people experience unpleasant side effects and it can also interfere with blood thinners and acid reducing drugs (I have no idea if you take anything else). Just double check to see if it's right for you...

I work in the health field and I am aware of side effects & drug interactions with turmeric. Currently neither my DH or myself are on any prescription drugs. Only take the golden paste. it has worked wonders for us. I also have a few of my clients taking it and they have had good results too. There is a facebook page Turmeric User Group that is wonderful. It is a page for both humans and animals. Lots of great success stories on there as well as a link to drug interactions for those on prescriptions. And the admins who run that page are wonderful with most of them working in the health field for either humans or animals. Thank you @Jill & Alex (GA) for caring! Love this group! :bighug::bighug:
