Hi, everyone. Hope all is well with everyone and their babies.
Rags and I couldn't post because # 1. I couldn't seem to log in. It kept telling me my paaword was wrong. I DO know my password Anyhow, I gave up and had to cancel my internet. Couldn't afford it.
I registered with a new e-mail address (the old one is no good now) and i will use internet at the office.

I still cannot get my boy regulated. I am not happy with my new Vet. She does not want me to test him. I don't think she knows too much about Lantus. Just started him in 2 units once a day. She passed me off to another Vet in her office. The new one put him on once a day dose on Wednesday and said she would call me Saturday to discuss it, she never called.
Didn't tell me how to feed him either. it's just been a real mess !!
I just feel so sorry for my boy because he has been sooo good !

I have to feed my kids now, will write more later.

Long time no see.

I'm glad you're able to post sometimes. You know we will help you with Rags.

Once a day dosing doesn't usually work with Lantus. It does sound like your vet isn't all that up to date with feline diabetes.

How is Rags feeling? No escapes outside, I hope. I know you love him and that was scary that evening when he ran off.
 
Great to hear from you Becky! I'm sorry you continue to have vet problems. But I'm sure we can help you sort things out. Let us know what sort of numbers Rags has had lately. Hoping you're ignoring the vet's advice about not testing.:-)
 
Dyana and Bob, thank you both for the kind words. YES , I am ignoring my Vets advise about testing. I would have killed him if I hadn't tested. He has been bouncing soo much.
I really want to give him another two units tonight, but it' s an hour after I fed him, over an hour.
AMPS today was 559, at his 7th hour 314. He ate 1 & 1/2 cans of fancy feast at 5:45 a.m Fed him ahalf of can at 1:00, at 5:37 p.m he was 355. He had one can for dinner. I know he will be in the 500's tomorrow a.m.
He is such a good boy about everything. He is just soo hungry.

Any thoughts as to insulin tonight?

Becki, would you mind adding your spreadsheet to your signature, so we can see what his numbers are and what you write in the remarks section?

From what I can tell from your post, and please correct me...
AMPS 559 at 5:45am? ate 1.5 cans FF
1:00 at +7.25? ate 1/2 can FF
5:37pm (PMPS?) 355 ate 1 can FF
Is it 7:30 and +14 now?

I think you can go ahead with his regular dose, now. Can you shoot 12 hours from now tomorrow?

What have his low numbers been?

I know we can help you with Rags. Please keep posting, so we can.

It's good to see you back on the board. We've been worried about you and Rags.

You had told me your vet and you decided to try this once a day dosing. Not going well? Thinking of going to 2 x a day again?

Dyana, his + 7 was 314.
I haven't taken any more numbers. I just got your reply, it' 8:49 p.m.
His low numbers have been : 55, 60,68,76,77,80, 84,85. they were when he was on 2 units twice a day.
I do not have a spread sheet yet as this is the first I've been back on the board.
I'll try to work on one tomorrow at work. I'll have all kind of numbers for you. lol
I haven't given him anymore insulin because it' s too late now.
I have to leave for work at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow a.m.
 
Becki, You still have your old google spreadsheet. You can log into Google and update it. Then link it into your signature or ask someone here to do that link for you.
 
Rags is now on lantus tight reg. If you want to see his numbers.
I cannot get to the spreadsheet, I am sorry.
