..if you can call it that after only 3 days :-D

I put Lucian up in the bed with me for a bit last night, he stayed for about 30 min and got down, BUT he got back up there, several times, on his own, sleeping for an hour or 2 each time. This is major to me, since he hasn't wanted anything to do with me since I brought him home and that's upsetting. Maybe he's getting over being mad at me for what I'm doing or maybe he's feeling a bit better. His numbers are, by no means, great, but they are not too bad, seems to be staying in the low to mid 200's, I can live with that for a few more days on this dose and see how he does on his curve at the end of the week. He was a little combative this morning, but kitty burrito prevailed!

Time for his morning shot.

Have a good day everyone!

That's great that he is starting to resume his old behaviors. Keep up the good work!

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad Lucian is feeling a bit better (and that you are too. ) You're doing a good job.

The 'low to mid 200's' are not bad at all! (My cat's numbers were twice as high as that in the early days).

Would be really interested to see some more mid cycle numbers (maybe around +5?) when you get a chance to do that.

Great update -sounds like you are making some progress with him and are getting the hang of this!

Do you want to want to come over to the Lantus forum and start posting there? We post daily about our cats and both experts and supporters pop in to take a look.. http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewforum.php?f=9 Its a great way to get eyes on your kitty and advice.

Hi Elizabeth - I'm going for more strips today, out of necessity, have a new meter and strips coming in a few days. I agree, I need those mid readings, thanks!

Thank you Wendy, I'll go introduce Lucian to the Lantus group.

I've so appreciated the help, you all are the best!
