Questions or concerns regarding Prozinc

My vet is getting ready to attend a continuing education class with the makers of Prozinc. She has asked if there are any questions/concerns I would like her to specifically address during the class.

My request from her is to get more clarification on the "poop out" time once the vial has been opened.

Does anyone have any specific request/concerns you would like me to ask her to get answers on?

Oh, yes. Do they see a pattern of higher amps numbers and lower pmps numbers in many cats? (We have seen quite a few who fall into that category.) Do they have a protocol for ProZinc with general advice for dose amounts, shooting TID etc.? Do they commonly see a fast onset, within 3 hours or so, rather than the usual gentler curve that PZI generally had? Do they think ProZinc has any overlap?

It would be interesting to see if they have done any studies with cats who are tested at home......

I'd be interested in hearing more about the "settling-in" period (if there is one). On PZI Vet the conventional wisdom (HERE, not talking about what the typical vet might have said), was that you could see what a dose was going to do in 2 or 3, possibly 4, cycles. On ProZinc there has been more talk about their body needing to adjust to a new dose and giving it time to settle in. I'd like to hear their take on stuff like that, and also the 45-day initial wonky-time we hear about. That still doesn't make sense to me (i.e. as it might differ from any insulin, or as it might differ from wonkiness that you would expect as you make dose changes during that period), and I'd like to hear the official word on that.
