A few people told me to get a human monitor, but I had read that those test differently than cat's blood and is inaccurate? Do you guys all just use them and adjust the numbers from human to cat?
Do you guys go by the dosage the vet recommended every single time, or do you do it like human diabetics do and test every time and adjust the insulin accordingly?
Onto Roxy...
I took her in a week ago after her seizure. and they lowered her dose to 1 unit of vetsulin 2x a day.
Today was her blood glucose curve, they kept her almost until closing because her "numbers were so close to stable" and they brought her back up to 2 units.
She was given 1unit with a half can of wet food at 7:45a before heading in:
8:38a: 567g/dl
10:40a: 479g/dl
12:40p: 386g/dl
2:45p: 326g/dl
4:20p: 407g/dl
