Question about testing

I feed Pudden multiple small meals a day. I always withhold food 2 hours before testing and shooting. But I am wondering if I have to not feed her 2 hours before a midday test? This is what I have been doing and I wonder if it is necessary.

If you're doing a curve, then test every 2 hours over a 12 hour span. This will give you a good picture of how Pudden's body uses the insulin. There's no need to let the vet do this and charge your small fortune, besides, doing it at home gives you a more realistic picture as it removes the additional stress. :cat:

Thank you everyone for clearing that up for me! :) That makes things a little easier since I was always having to do midday tests based on when she last ate. I will be doing pretty much all of her testing at home. The vet wants to see her in a month so she is only being tested once in a while by the vet to make sure she is on the right track. I much prefer to do it at home. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! :D
